Everything you need to know about marriage legalities, vows, and planning in Australia.

Under Australian Marriage Law, the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be lodged with your celebrant at least one calendar month before your wedding date (and up to 18 months in advance). Dinah will help you fill out and lodge this form smoothly.

You will need to show either an original Australian or overseas Passport, OR an original Birth Certificate + photo ID (such as a Driver's Licence). If either of you has been previously married, proof of divorce (Certificate of Divorce) or a Death Certificate is required.

Absolutely! There are mandatory legal words required by Australian law (the Monitum and legal vows), but beyond that, you can write personal vows that come straight from the heart. Dinah provides vow-writing guides and examples to make it easy and stress-free.
